ARE YOU IN THE MAGICAL FLOW?: Or are you just rolling with the punches?

There is a strong distinction, “Rolling with the punches” is reactive. Something happens, circumstances change, an obstacle appears, and you adapt. You absorb the impact, change your footing, and keep moving. It is resilience and flexibility, but the event still comes first and your adjustment follows.

“Being in the Flow” is different. Flow is participatory rather than merely reactive. You are already moving with the conditions around you. Decisions seem to present themselves at the appropriate moment. Resistance decreases. Action becomes intuitive rather than forced. You are neither controlling everything nor surrendering to everything. You are participating with what is unfolding.

Vassago - His traditional office concerns discovering things past and future and revealing what is hidden. In the Karçist interpretation, this is recognizing where circumstances are already moving before attempting to impose Will upon them. Magical Flow requires perception before action.

Orobas - His traditional offices include revealing past, present, and future and granting favor and dignity. More importantly, Orobas has a reputation in the grimoire tradition for truthful revelation. His initiatory function as stripping away false interpretations of circumstances so the Karçist can recognize what is actually happening rather than what he wants to be happening.

Dantalion - His office concerns thoughts, minds, and their alteration. If Magical Flow involves the relationship between perception, intuition, environment, and action, Dantalion will work upon the perceptual side of that equation. The obstacle may not always be external resistance. Sometimes the obstacle is the Karçist's insistence that events unfold according to a predetermined script.

Buer - His offices include philosophy, logic, healing, and knowledge of herbs. In an initiatory interpretation, Buer represents correction, adjustment, and the restoration of proper movement when the practitioner has become psychologically or magically “stuck.”

Magical Flow could potentially be described as a form of Dæmonosis extending beyond formal ritual: the Karçist develops sufficient familiarity with a Dæmonic Intelligence that its initiatory pattern becomes recognizable within ordinary daily experience. Instead of constantly asking, “What should I do?” the practitioner begins recognizing the appropriate action as circumstances unfold.

Recognize what is happening, understand the forces presently in motion, and act at the point where your Will can most effectively participate with them.
