Introduction
Before the rise of gods and dogma, before morality calcified into chains, there was the Primal Current. This current flowed through the earliest human minds, unfiltered by doctrine, unburdened by inherited guilt. It was the raw pulse of Consciousness in its first Awakening: instinctive, sovereign, and deliberately untamed. Sinisterism is the rediscovery of that current.
Sinisterism rejects the comforting narratives it calls the individual back to their original state, not as an animal devoid of intellect, but as a being capable of perceiving both the inner and outer worlds without imposed filters. Its aim is to awaken the Hidden Self, the aspect of Consciousness long buried beneath cultural programming, fear, and inherited belief.
There is no deity to kneel before, no dogma to submit to. The only altar is the Self; the only offering is the courage to Transcend. Through this, one encounters the Shadow, the primordial adversary and silent teacher residing Within. By engaging it directly, the practitioner begins the alchemical process of transformation.
"SINISTERISM is about finding the Primal Aspects of The Left Hand Path. Primal in History, Primal in the Psyche. Thus obtaining Truth." - Thomas LeRoy
Let's unpack this statement from Thomas.
Primal in History refers to the oldest, most foundational expressions of what we now call the Left-Hand Path, pre-Abrahamic deities, ancient sorcery, chthonic gods, pre-moral spiritual frameworks, and traditions where self-power, taboo-breaking, and personal sovereignty were central themes. It implies digging beneath the layers of moralization, demonization, and cultural rewriting to recover the raw forces and ideas that existed before religion tried to tame them.
Primal in the Psyche is the psychological dimension: the instinctual, archetypal, and unconditioned aspects of the self. It means exploring the Shadow, the Daemonic Self, the inner adversary, the autonomous complexes, the things in the psyche that predate social conditioning and moral programming. It’s about descending into the deep structure of consciousness where the gods, demons, and symbols originate.
Thus obtaining Truth: Truth, here, isn’t dogmatic truth or revelation. It’s experiential truth, the gnosis that comes from stripping away inherited beliefs and confronting the primal forces both outside and within.
Thomas is saying that by reclaiming the ancient and the subconscious, the two wells of mythic power, you uncover something essential, something real. Not “truth” in the external moral sense, but truth as encountered through direct experience of your Greater Self and the Cosmos. Divinity is uncovered from Within, not dictated from Without. A Sinisterist may be atheist, agnostic, or theist, because what matters is not belief, but Becoming.
Sinisterism is the bringing together (synthesis) of different systems, ideas, and disciplines to create a unified, personal understanding of Truth. It’s the opposite of dogma. Synthesis as in “Take what is true, powerful, and transformative from many sources, and forge them into something that serves your Becoming.”
Synthesis involves:
1. Integrating diverse traditions.
Drawing from psychology, magic, mythology, philosophy, neuroscience, mysticism, ancient religions, and personal experience to form a coherent worldview.
2. Reconciling opposites
Holding the shadow and the light, the rational and the irrational, the subjective and objective, without needing to eliminate one or the other.
3. Creating your own Path
Not in the shallow “eclectic” sense, but in the disciplined, initiatory sense of building a personal, internal system from multiple sources.
4. Evolution, not mimicry
You don’t follow a tradition, you metabolize it, transform it, and incorporate what strengthens your ascent. Synthesis is the alchemy of ideas. It’s the act of combining disparate elements to create a new, stronger whole, a philosophy that evolves with you rather than constrains you.
