La Ilaha Illa Ana لا إلها إلا أنا

No God but I

The Greater Self, or GodSelf, is conscious energy evolving and

growing through the experiences of its creations. The physical body

provides a vehicle in which the psyche can become aware of itself

and then reach out towards the limitlessness of its conscious

existence.

Our Greater Self/Psyche/Consciousness/Soul exists separate from

objective reality, it remains as it was after our physical demise. This

is our Singularity, our GodSelf.

Adherents of the Western Left Hand Path seek to bring this GodSelf

into our current incarnation for guidance and strength. During this

lifetime we work towards designing, creating and learning how to

enter into our Personal Subjective Universe and we atone with our

GodSelf to become the Deity of our own Universe.

Man is a result of Evolution and Natural Selection with an Intelligent

Designer (Soul/Psyche/Isolate Consciousness/Greater Self/GodSelf in

command as opposed to an external deity. Human consciousness will

not evolve unconsciously, which is the way of Nature. Human

consciousness can only evolve consciously, and only according to the

processes of its own nature.

Proto-man and various animal species have endured a struggle for survival over millennia. While the human brain has evolved, other creatures' brains have seemingly remained unchanged. Despite the expectation of some species evolving intelligence comparable to humans, this hasn't occurred. The absence of such evolution suggests a deliberate cause, indicating the existence of an Isolate Intelligence operating through our physical being, distinct from the objective universe's laws. This intelligence encompasses the Soul/Psyche, which possesses a unique identity and sense of differentiation. Natural selection favored physical traits over intellect for proto-man, yet human intelligence has led to significant adaptations, defying natural selection's expectations. Our Mind/Psyche/Soul/Consciousness appears to exist independently of the Objective Universe, supporting the concept of "Isolate Consciousness" and implying the presence of an observer.

"Consciousness exists independently of the brain. It does not depend

upon the brain for its survival. Mind is first, the brain is second. The

brain is not the creator of mind; it is a powerful tool of the mind. The

brain is an antenna/receiver for the mind, like a sophisticated

television or cell phone.” _______________________

Quantum physicists understand that atoms consist of swirling and

vibrating energy patterns. At the minuscule level of observation,

matter is essentially energy. There exists a connection between

human consciousness and this energy, allowing consciousness to

influence its behavior and even participate in restructuring it.

Is the mind simply another word for the brain, an organ in the head

that fools us into thinking that the self, the “inescapable I,” is a

genuine entity? Dr. Egnor explains the materialist view in its several

successive historical manifestations, and why, despite its pervasive

influence, it hardly qualifies as a serious perspective. Egnor details

the findings of his own field, neuroscience. These indicate that

something extra, something immaterial, is joined with the material

body to form the complete human being. That something extra is

traditionally designated as the soul.

"You are more than a physical creature alone. Egnor cites, among

other pieces of evidence, a 2006 study in the journal Science

reporting that patients in a persistent vegetative state, contrary to

how their condition appears clinically, are not all absent as

personalities. Even with a severely damaged, shrunken brain, the

non-material person is somehow still there, and aware. For example,

as functional magnetic resonance imaging shows, many such

patients, just like healthy people, can distinguish the sound of

meaningful sentences from syntactical gibberish. That should be

impossible under materialist assumptions."

Dr. Michael Aquino chose the term "Isolate Consciousness" to reflect

a belief in the actual separateness of perception of sentient beings.

When Stephen Edred Flowers wrote Lords of the Left Hand Path, he

modified the term to "Isolate Intelligence" reflecting, he felt, even

more of the idea of self-ordering.

The purpose of your Greater Self extends to transforming fear into

joy through inner strength—an alchemical process akin to deriving

elixir from poison. This concept reflects the wisdom gained through

facing adversity. As we navigate our earthly journey, our psyche

awakens to profound realizations, experiencing jolts of insight that

affirm its existence beyond the transient universe. These revelations,

though often unsettling, offer a choice: embrace them as a path to

inner strength or reject them through denial.

The legacy we leave isn't perpetuated through offspring,

achievements, or cultural memes. This realization acts as a shock to

our intelligence. Over time, it becomes evident that nothing on Earth

is permanent; everything undergoes change. This epiphany delivers

an emotional shock, followed by the physical shock that our bodies

are impermanent, reinforcing the transient nature of our existence.

The only unavoidable consideration left is: The Greater Self survives

everything and has an inherent Knowledge that it can survive, if it

furthers itself. The Greater Self ebbs and flows in cycles of action in

this impermanent world, it learns about itself from the feedback

these cycles will bring to it.

It takes a strong, happy, and careful person to view that all they do

will return to them, so that they might know themselves, as a thing of

Joy. It is easier to believe that all of the cycles of one's life are due to

some greater whole, of which you are but a part. But if you choose

that belief, if you choose the path of irresponsibility, you ultimately

will have identified with the principle that governs the world outside

of the Self: impermanence.

What separates the LHP from the RHP is this struggle against the OU,

this is the Principle of the Prince of Darkness which is your Dæmon

your personal Patron and it is through Hir Gift of the Black Flame that

we find impermanence, for if it was only mind that was permanent,

eventually all would reflect that mind, and it wouldn't have the

richness of the actions of others to enrich its cycles.

The Way of Nature is the Way of Death

Human consciousness, unlike the unconscious evolution inherent in

nature, requires a conscious effort for its progression. It can only

evolve intentionally, following its inherent processes. If we align

solely with the unconscious ways of Nature, identified as the

Objective Universe, characterized by its mindless mechanisms on a

biological level, our individual evolution ceases. Following the way of

Nature tends to lead us toward physical stagnation, inducing lethargy,

arterial congestion, and a hindrance to metabolism.

Moreover, adhering to the natural course instills a tendency to avoid

self-reflection, causing individuals to project their unconscious

internal struggles outwardly—a manifestation of the Jungian Shadow

Self. To evolve consciously, we must deviate from the passive path of

Nature, actively engaging in self-examination and intentional growth.

Enter the Black Flame

Fortunately, our self-aware consciousness grants us the autonomy to

live for ourselves, free from being solely subject to Nature's

unconscious, inexorable mechanisms. Unlike the predetermined

course dictated by nature, we possess the unique ability to go against

the grain and make choices—an option nature lacks.

The Way of the Black Flame champions conscious self-awareness,

offering us the power to shape, decide, and steer our own path in a

manner unparalleled by any other species on Earth. We aren't

beholden to Nature's unconscious forces; instead, we can stand apart

from its mechanisms and defy its flow, actively creating and

reinventing ourselves. Nature follows the path of least resistance,

appealing to the herd mentality, but consciousness thrives through

challenges and difficulties. It evolves and becomes more aware only

through intentional effort, a task nature cannot undertake on our

behalf; it can only push us toward unconsciousness.

Striving for the realization of our Greater Self does not diminish the

importance of living in the present moment. Instead, it enhances our

present experience by infusing it with purpose and meaning. It gives

us a sense of direction— and understanding that our actions today

can shape our future and contribute to our growth.

The concept of apotheosis, or becoming godlike, should not be

interpreted as a claim of attaining divinity or becoming an immortal

being. Rather, it represents the transcendence of our mundane

selves, —our ego-driven desires and limited perspectives. It is the

journey towards aligning our thoughts, emotions, and actions with

our deepest values and aspirations.

Living with the intention of becoming more, of realizing Greater Self

invites us to cultivate self-awareness and engage in self-reflection.

In this light, the idea of apotheosis is not about clinging to an

unattainable ideal. It is about embracing the potential within us and

committing to our personal evolution. While we may not achieve an

eternal existence or godlike powers, the transformation we undergo

during our journey towards our higher self can be seen as a type of

rebirth—a shedding of old ways and a blossoming into a more

authentic and purposeful existence.
