The Western Left Hand Path seeks to elevate the initiated human from
self-aware animal to godlike status. Any thought, expression, or action
that arises from stimuli beyond the objective universe (OU) taps into the power of the Black Flame. The physical body is perceived as a prison, and the Black Flame can only attain its full liberation and omnipotence once this confinement is transcended. Paradoxically, it is within this very realm of the Objective Universe that each Soul becomes aware of itself.
The very essence of Azoth, the primordial principle birthing all others,
represents spiritual perfection. It embodies the Serpent, the enigmatic
force that propels mankind ever forward on the ceaseless path towards
physical and spiritual enlightenment. Within the realms of the western
occult community, it is known as the Black Flame, an enigmatic symbol
of the transformative power that dwells within us all.
It is within these sacred texts that we encounter the powerful symbol of
the Black Flame, representing the primordial force burning within
individuals. Here, the earliest teachings of Apotheosis, Luciferianism,
and the aspiration to become a god of the Left Hand Path can be found.
These teachings offer a path of self-transcendence and the pursuit of
godhood, where individuals seek to awaken their inner divine potential
and embrace their own inherent power and autonomy.
The Prince of Darkness is seen as the initiator and exemplar of this
struggle against the universe, representing the archetype of rebellion and
individuality. Through the Prince's bestowal of the Black Flame, which
symbolizes the gift of individuality and self-awareness, the universe is
enriched. It is believed that if only the mind were permanent and
unchanging, the diversity and richness of human actions and
experiences would be lost. Therefore, the choice to resist and challenge
the universe is considered fundamental to the LHP philosophy. The
Prince of Darkness is revered as the first to embark on such a struggle,
and the infusion of the Black Flame is seen as a means to enhance and
diversify the universe, allowing for the continuous cycles of growth and
transformation.
